Quickly break a few calories? These fitness classes in your studio fuel the fast burning of fat

As a loyal Samsahra reader, you know that we are not just about the esthetic goal when it comes to sports. We would much rather get to know new sports, improve our stamina, become stronger or learn new skills.

But let’s face it, sometimes we enter the gym with the sole purpose of burning a few calories as fast as possible and where would that be better than in a classroom full of sweaty like-minded people?

That’s why we’ve put together a list of the gym classes that burn the most calories. That means courses that have at least the potential to burn as many calories as possible.

But before you go straight to the biggest calories killer course, remember that the number of calories actually burned varies from person to person during a workout. You may burn 500 calories in the spinning class, while your training buddy on the bike next to you might be 600. Unfair, we know. Why? Because the calorie consumption depends on a handful of factors such as body weight, metabolism, genes and not to forget your use.

You thought, just because you signed up for a 1000 calories killer course, will you burn it automatically? Sorry that we have to make this dream burst like a bubble. To properly burn calories, you have to make an effort! And not just a bit.

1. HIIT burns up to 900 calories per hour

A study by the Human Performance Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin showed, that a HIIT workout with squats, burpees, lunges, and short recovery periods between sets burns on average 15 calories per minute.

2. Boxing burns up to 800 calories per hour

A person weighing about 70 kilos (154,32 pounds) can beat up to 800 calories in the boxing course according to studies. So we are so ready to rumble!

3. Crossfit burns up to 780 calories per hour

Kennesaw State University researchers found that in a tough Crossfit session with pull ups, push ups and squats, you get up to 13 calories per minute. And all without weights! Especially with the Crossfit, however, it depends heavily on your use.

4. Spinning burns up to 634 calories per hour

In one hour spinning at medium intensity (meaning you can also chat with the training buddy) burns a 70-pound person around the 600 calories. No walk, but still worth the effort.
